Cost is per SESSION—consisting of SIX 45 minute weekly classes except as noted*.
All CLASSES: Dogs are not required to be purebred. Pre-class enrollment required. Aggressive dogs must be evaluated prior to enrolling. If convenient, complete and bring Registration Form to check-in.

$100 PUPPY PRESCHOOL— *4 Week Session
Starts: TUESDAY, September 14, 2010 at 8:00 PM
Offered for healthy puppies 10 weeks to 6 months of age. This is an important step for proper development of a well adjusted and behaved pet. Research has shown that the critical period in a puppy’s mental development occurs before 16 weeks of age. Socialization, confidence building, and leadership exercises will be covered, as well as discussions on topics such as nipping, chewing and management of their environment. It is vital to your puppy’s well-being to begin socialization and basic training early. Do not feed your puppy after 4PM prior to class. AKC S.T.A.R. PUPPY PROGRAM available, call for further information.
Level #1 $150 BASIC DOG TRAINING —The foundation class for all dog training.

Suitable for first timers of all ages as well as a refresher.
Covering focused attention, sit, down, stand including stays at all three positions. Come when called, controlled walking, wait and leave it commands. Necessary for establishing the basis for an appropriate relationship between the family and dogs living with them.
Unless your Registration Form is completed, arrive 15 minutes prior to first class. Bring vaccine records, appropriate *training collar, *6’ & *15’ training leads (not retractable) *small treats, soft-soled shoes and paper towels. *Available to purchase during check-in.
Level #2 $100 CANINE MANNERS with K-9 GOOD CITIZEN Training & Test

For dogs having our BASIC DOG Training skills with an emphasis on those needed to pass the AKC Canine Good Citizen test. This is an active class further develops social skills where participating dogs often go on to gain a CGC title. Testing done on site.
$150 THERAPY DOG TRAINING
Starts: MONDAY, September 13, 2010 at 6:30 PM continues 10/12/10 at 8:00 PM
Dogs over 1 year of age and have earned a CGC title with their handler are eligible for this class. A variety of situations encountered in a typical therapy visit will be introduced and discussed. Dogs will learn to ignore hospital equipment and unfamiliar noises; rough petting; people who stumble or exhibit jerky movements near the dog, etc. After passing temperament evaluations and required tests and with prior permission from establishments, you and your dog can visit local nursing homes, hospitals and schools.
Level #3 $100 PROGRESSIVE SKILLS Including Rally
Starts: TUESDAY, September 14, 2010 at 6:00 PM
For graduates with Level #1 and #2 training skills. These classes will further enhance the relationship between dog and owner. With the goal of a more consistent and reliable response to commands, we will build toward off-lead stays and recalls, off-lead heeling, drop on recall, out of sight sits and downs, hand signals and directed jumping while enhancing other skills through a variety of structured exercises. This class will also incorporate Rally-O as a new fun way to enhance your training.
Level #4 $125 COMPETITION OBEDIENCE MIXED-BREED & PURE-BRED
Starts: MONDAY, September 13, 2010 at 8 PM
To instruct, prepare and guide dogs and their owners who have knowledge of the basic dog training skills to achieve their best learning experience from the opportunities and challenges offered at the many AKC dog shows. Emphasis is placed on adapting various upbeat, positive training methods to each individual dog and handler team in order to achieve the best individual learning experience.
$90 AGILITY—($70 as ADD-ON of same dog)
Session Starts: WEDNESDAY, September 15, 2010
For canines that have learned our BASIC DOG TRAINING skills including the STAY command. Agility is an active sport that creates fun, excitement, and confidence for the dog and handler team and emphasizes positive encouragement and enforcement while training.
Introduction to Agility at 12:30 PM or 6:00 PM
This class introduces the basic foundation skills of how to safely negotiate the various agility obstacles. Included obstacles are the A-frame, Dog Walk, See-Saw, Tunnels, Weave Poles, Pause Table, Tire and Jumps.
Intermediate Agility at 7:00 PM
Obstacle recognition, sequencing obstacles, gaining speed and accuracy are developed, while proper handling and communication techniques of the handler are introduced.
Advanced Agility at 7:00 PM
Building teamwork and motivation, focus and direction, further development of the skills that give more challenge to the active dog and handler in this class.
