Joy S. Brewster, owner of Cassio Kennels (1965), has been a nationally-acclaimed conformation all-breed Professional Dog Handler. She handled top dogs in six of the seven American Kennel Club groups in the United States and Canada.

As a professional dog handler, Brewster was winner of the Best Female Handler Award in 1974 and 1977, and the FIDO award as Handler of the Year in 1979 and a FIDO nominee in 1989.

Recognized as a successful dog breeder, Ms. Brewster has bred and raised German Wirehaired Pointers and Pomeranians under the Cassio prefix.

Brewster is acknowledged as being a dog authority and trainer. She is an active member of the Greenwich Kennel Club and the American Boarding Kennel Association as well as various Dog Show Judge Organizations.  She is also an approved AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator

She has been actively involved in the promotion of a better dog understanding and environment for more than 40 years both locally and nationally.
